Phew... it has been one heck of a week...and it's not work related, because, I still don't have a job.
My father is in the hospital (again), and he's been there since last Sunday. He was having a hard time breathing lately. Last week, he went to the hospital and they kept him for three days trying to figure out what was wrong with him. After some tests, they discovered that he had stones on his kidney...Fine, he's always had those, they never really bothered him. After giving him some medicine, they let him go.
But last Sunday, he couldn't breather and decided to go to the hospital again. They kept him for the night and he's been there ever since, turns out, he has what is called a pulmonary embolism, or, for short, blood clots in the lungs. He had a severe attack on the night of Sunday to Monday, and the doctor told him that if he had not been hospitalized, he could have died then and there.
Because they waited for so damn long to figure out what was wrong with him, I suppose the blood clots got worst, he has a lot of them on both of his lungs and still has some in his legs. He can't do anything besides lay around in bed. They have to make his blood thinner and prevent other clots from traveling from his leg to his lungs, heart or brain. Turns out,his cancer is probably what caused this. A doctor prescribed him some medicine to prevent the cancer from spreading, but it just ended up making his blood thicker and that's probably the cause of his blood clots.
Let's just say, I haven't slept a lot this past week. Even if he's in the hospital surrounded by nurses and doctors, I'm still a little scared...I can't help it. He'll have to continue injecting himself with medicine for 6 months after this. It just seems a little unfair...ever since he retired a year and a half ago, he's had a prostate cancer, and now this...He's worked so hard all of his life, and now, when he could finally relax, he can't get a break...
His moral is a little down, but he seems to be doing better. Hopefully, his health will have returned in time for Christmas, because seeing him sick this time of year would just be sad.
Anyway, I needed to update my journal since I hadn't written anything in almost a month...
So there you have it.
Next time, I think I'll talk about the anime series I'm currently watching and why I can't seem to like Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood.
Until then, take care every one :-D
thanks for the watch.
